The other worlds

Arl formed the World of Arl. Others created other worlds which can be accessed via some of the conjuration spells. The Others did not create their worlds in the same way, some have more gravity, some have a different atmosphere and some are unable to foster life on the surface. Each world is named after the Other that created it.

All weights given are assuming that the being is on the World of Arl thus making it easier to work out if they can be affected by a specific spell. All worlds are geographically identical (their seas are all in the same place) to the World of Arl

Jythral

Jythral (Ji - th - rall) is a red world, the air is thick with the scent of sulphur, though there is enough oxygen for Arlians to survive on it as long as they do not exert themselves. The Jythral world is comprised of three main species; the small Yraj, the much larger Teukyn and the behemoth that is the Pojran. The temperature of the world is up to twice that of the World or Arl and around the poles, fire literally rains from the sky. All inhabitants of the world fight for water which is a very valuable resource.

Phentres

Phentres (Fen - tres) is a world permanently lit in a deep purply light, the ozone only allows through that shade of light. The air is similar to that of the World of Arl but the world emits a sound whcih cannot be heard clearly yet causes the mind to try to make sense of it, slowly turning visitors insane. When combined with the World of Arl's environment it is enhanced massively and those traveling from one world to the other will find themselves with a headache for a few minutes.

Phentres is smaller than the World of Arl which means that if you were to jump into it then it would take you half the time to get to your destination. This of course ignores such issues as the insanity inducing noise and the local wildlife. The main species of Phentres is the Gullapus, it is eaten by both the Lithyan and the Sebrez.

Nuarm

Nuarm (Noo - arm) is a world of intense light. It is lit by over 15 suns (with so many suns it is hard to be sure), each brighter than the sun that lights the World of Arl. It is permanently day and the light is so bright it is clearly visible through closed eyes. Nuarm itself has half the gravitational pull of the World of Arl, humans can carry more and travel for longer before becoming tired.

Nuarm is full of life that either uses a different method to see or requires such high levels of light to see. Smallest is fungal plant called Dysprasna, it eats dead matter but is itself eaten by both the winged Dransa and the cute Delina.

Arcarabus

Arcarabus (Arr - Ka - Rah - Bus) is a giant world, the distance from one point to another is three times what it would be on the World of Arl. Drinkable water collects in ponds everywhere and small hills like anthills rise from the ground containing something akin to bread. This means that it's very possible to easily move a large number of people through Arcarabus over long distances.

Arcarabus has however little military value, when a bridge is opened from Arcarabus to the World of Arl or visa versa, it will take 10 times as long to create and all chosen or mages within 100km of the point will know that it's being opened and where. In addition, anybody stepping through the bridge from Arcarabus into the World of Arl will find themselves unable to concentrate properly for 5 minutes. You can only get to Arcarabus from the World of Arl, no other world will connect to it.

Arcarabus has no documented native life forms, it is thought however to have something undocumented but very dangerous living on it.

Enkhingi

Enkhingi (Enk - Hin - G - Ee) is a truely strange world. You cannot reach it through normal means but only at points of power such as the South Pole. The world is a world of glass and ash. Where there should be sea there is glass, where there is land it is of ash, the air is poisonous to most, filled as it is with ash and dust.

Enkhingi is the home of the gods, each has a fortress on it, in it they keep their army of lesser daemons and occasionally war with each other. Aside from the daemons, Enkhingi has no documented life forms.
