Make your own elves

The front page says that it is your nation. I wasn't joking when I wrote it, it really is your nation. It's not even completely human! But we don't have "elves" and "dwarves" and other generic fantasy races. No, your race is yours and you design it. If you want to make some elves then go ahead but you don't have to. You design and change your race through the use of evolutions. Races on the World of Arl evolve especially quickly but they all start off as human.

What can be done

There is a massive range of what can be done to your race, you can make it breathe underwater, you can give them wings, you can change the length of their arms and legs, you can make them smarter or stupider. For things we've not already thought of, there is the ability to add your own evolution idea!

How does it work?

As you play, you will receive evolution points for achievements. The points can be spent at any time (contact a GM to get it done) and can also be saved up for the bigger and more expensive evolutions, we all know that the bigger and more expensive ones are cooler ;)

All you need to do now is view the list of evolutions, remember, if you don't find one you want, contact me and we'll work one out that you like.

Getting points

So, what gets you points? Every 5th turn points are distributed to nations that achieve objectives. The objectives are listed below, any in blue can be achieved by more than one nation at once. Anything in red is worth two evolution points, anything in green can be achieved by more than one nation and is worth two points and anything in black is worth 1 point and can only be taken by one nation. All nations receive two free points as long as they have been alive all 5 turns and 1 point if they joined within the last 5 turns.

Largest army   Largest navy   Richest nation   Largest population
Controls the most land   Killed the most enemy chosen   Killed the most enemy civilians   Killed the most enemy soldiers
Won every single battle   Own a supply of every resource   Performed all your attacks without the direct aid of an allied army and attacked at least one enemy   Killed at least one enemy chosen
Successfully took a city   None of your chosen died   For every enemy team finished off   Came to the aid of an ally when they were invaded
Best team roleplay   Team roleplay runner up #1   Team roleplay runner up #2   Team roleplay runner up #3

Respending

So, what happens when you decide that the 40 levels of strength are nice, but could be better spent? You can devolve for free though you only get half of your points back and can't spend those points for 2 turns.

Materials

It is possible that you do not wish to spend or horde your evolution points and instead wish to remain as you are. You can exchange 1 evo point for a 20% boost to your materials generation for that turn, 5 evo points effectively doubles your materials generation for the turn.

Negative evolutions

It's quite plausible that you might want to make your race disadvantaged in a certain area. This is called negative evolution. Whenever you spend a point of evolution, you may spend a negative evolution point and take a negative point in another evolution. This will give you a free extra point to spend (though you can't get another negative point from this one). If you later change your mind on a negative evolution, you must "buy it out" with evolution points at full price.
